Have you monetized your blog? Does it work for you?
It didn’t work for me, not for a long time.
I think I made about $150 in my first year of affiliate marketing. And when I set up an online store selling my own low-end digital products, I never made a single sale!
Now I’ve got to grips with it all, though, there are several reliable income streams coming in to my bank account from my new blog.
I know what stopped me from making money with my first blog. Do you know what’s stopping you? Here are some of the most common obstacles on the road to blogging income…

A lot of factors definitely stops one from making money with blogging. One of these factors is that of not seeing it wise to invest. I agree that freebies would never give one all that are needed to have a successful blog. There are many real “secrets” on blogging for money that can only be unveiled after some investments have been made on courses, seminars, etc.
You cannot really blame most people who are not making money from their blogs. A lot of problems ranging from ignorance, indecision, inactivity, and doing things the wrong way could be attributable to the poor earnings. However, it is good to have this post as a way of reminder of three factors that specifically prevents one from making money online.
The lessons of this post have been taken in good faith.
For each person, there is a factor(s) that could be stopping him/her from making money through blogging. Finance, knowledge, will power, and much more are factors that could one can easily point out.
Having the right knowledge and taking good steps to get results with a blog can make a whole lot of differences. These should be the bedrocks of making money through blogging.
There should be an audience for a blog. This post has just highlighted that fact. Unless one doesn’t know the power of getting to know an audience, reaching out to a blog’s demographic should be about the best way to meet the needs of the audience. When this is constantly done, it won’t be surprising that the blog would start making lots of money.
What stops people from making money on blogs could be internal or external. Internal has to do with the mental and psychological prowess, while external could be financial and environmental factors. However, the right mindset and leveraging on external resources( paid and free) can help a blogger start making good money online.
I think number 3 is the culprit for number 1. You’re not trying because you’re scared that if you try harder, you’re bound to spend money, and you don’t want to do that. You think, how am I supposed to make money that way? The truth is, and ask any successful businessman, you have to spend in order to gain. Sometimes you even have to loan money. But I don’t think that you need that much for starting your own blog post to earn. The point is, you have to risk and invest in order to see returns.
